Clara Aubin is Ojibwe from Biigtigong Nishnaabeg (Ojibways of Pic River) and holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education at Utah State University, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies.
Clara brings over three years of experience supporting Indigenous-led initiatives, accessibility services, and community wellness programs. Her work spans clinical, community-based, and research settings, with a focus on culturally safe, trauma-informed, and person-centred care. She has supported children and adults with complex needs, including those who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, Autistic, or living with developmental disabilities. Clara’s work emphasizes collaborative care, applied research, and community-driven advocacy, always centring Indigenous knowledge systems and relational approaches.
Currently, Clara works as an Assistant Researcher at Archipel Research & Consulting, where she contributes to projects in Indigenous health, justice, and education through applied research, outreach, and program evaluation. She also volunteers with Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) Utah, contributing to data sovereignty and public education initiatives.
